Art Masterpiece
Art Masterpiece is a national art enrichment program instituted by Chandler Unified School District and facilitated by school site volunteers.
Each month, Hull students receive a lesson about a master artist; then they have an opportunity to create their own "masterpiece" in that artist's particular style.
Our current and former Hull Art Masterpiece Coordinators have done a wonderful job organizing a variety of ready-to-go lessons that showcase specific artists and styles. The lessons include PowerPoints with the artist's biographical information, samples of their masterworks, and instructions for the student activity.
Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up. ~Pablo Picasso

What is Art Masterpiece?
Art Masterpiece has been part of the curriculum at Chandler Unified School District since 1992.
Our volunteer Art Guides facilitate six, one-hour lessons per classroom each school year.
Art Masterpiece lessons and projects introduce the students to different artists, different styles of art, various elements of art, and principles of design. Students then conduct a hands-on activity to reinforce what was presented.
Students are encouraged to see the work of art as an adventure and as a form of communication, not just as a decoration.
